News Roundup: 5/2 to 5/6

Welcome to this weeks edition of News Roundup! This week, we have a new alpha build, updates on proving grounds, and more on the Warcraft movie.

Alpha Build

There was a new alpha build on Thursday that brought a ton of new and awesome things! See the list below:

• Horde Broken Shore experience enabled.
• New login screen added (see video below).
• Stormwind Park is now rebuilt! (see video below).
• New Toys: Brulfist Idol, Fal'dorei Egg, Falanaar Echo, The "Devilsaur" Lunchbox
• Some items from previous builds are considered toys: Home Made Party Mask, Mobile Telemancy Beacon, and Faintly Glowing Flagon of Mead
• New Pets: Nightmare Lasher, Court Scribe, Nightmare Treant, and Benax.
• There is a series of new achievements that offer up a unique challenge to Pet Battlers. They require you to defeat all 12 tamers of the Broken Isles with a team of a single family. Here are a few as an example: The Lil' Necromancer, Roboteer, and Master of Magic. Completing all of the family achievements rewards you with Family Familiar and the Nightmare Treant pet.
• New Heirloom: Eagletalon Spear

Proving Grounds in Legion

According to the tweet below, Proving Grounds will no longer be a requirement for Heroic dungeons in Legion. It will still be available, though, for people interested in getting the achievements.

Warcraft Movie Rewards

A French cinema, Kinepolis, has the following rewards listed for seeing the Warcraft movie. Keep in mind that there is no official confirmation, so this information may change.

• World of Warcraft and all its expansions up to Warlords of Draenor and a free month of game time. 
• Four film inspired transmogrification items (shown above).

Legion Developer Update

Tuesday, May 10th at 9:00 am PDT, Assistant Game Director Ion "Watcher" Hazzikostas and gaming personality Jesse Cox will be going live on twitch.tv/warcraft to discuss Legion. This will be posted on the blog, and a summary will be to follow. Don't miss out!
