Patch 6.2 Battle Pet Overview

There were a total of 26 new pets added in Patch 6.2 and they are from a wide variety of sources.

Menagerie
There are a total of 4 new pets added to the Pet Menagerie, purchasable for Pet Charms.

• Bloodthorn Hatchling - 50 Pet Charms
• Dusty Sporewing - 50 Pet Charms
• Glowing Sporebat - 100 Pet Charms
• Lost Netherpup - 200 Pet Charms

Town Hall

In your Garrison's Town Hall, you may have noticed this vendor. She offers a pet named Crusher who has his own unique story. 

Wild Pets

Tanaan Jungle is now live, and with it 4 new wild pets can be captured! 

• Cerulean Moth
• Fen Crab
• Bloodbeak
• Violet Firefly

There are also two new rare wild pets, with similar patterns to the Unborn Val'kyr. These, however, only span one zone instead of an entire continent and there is always one up. 

• Crimsonwing Moth - Talador
• Sapphire Firefly - Spires of Arak

Fel-Touched Pet Supplies

Fel-Touched Pet Supplies are obtained by defeating any of the 15 Legendary pets in Tanaan Jungle. They offer some Pet Charms, gold, and a chance at a Fel-Touched Battle-Training Stone or any of these pets:

• Periwinkle Calf
• Nightmare Bell
• Zangar Spore
• Seaborn Spore

New Campaign

You might have noticed some new Garrison Campaign quests exclusive to 6.2 content. After completing the Garrison Campaign: The Warlock, you will get a quest called The Cipher of Damnation. This quest rewards you with the Shard of Cyrukh battle pet!

Treasure/Quest

This pet can be classified as both, since you have to kill a rare to get the quest to obtain it. The rare you are looking for is Ceraxas, a Fel Wolf in Temple of Sha'naar. After being slain, a little puppy will appear and offer the quest A Fel Puppy of My Own. This rewards you with the Fel Pup battle pet.

Garrison Missions

Two new pets are obtained from Garrison Missions: 1 from Follower Missions, and 1 from Naval Missions. 

• Left Shark is obtained from the naval mission Orphaned Aquatic Animal Rescue.
• Cinder Pup is a reward from the follower mission Fiery Friends.

Factions

There are three new factions in 6.2, and two of them offer a battle pet. The Saberstalkers offer the cute little Savage Cub for 1,500 Blackfang Claws, while the Order of the Awakened offers a Blazing Firehawk for 2,000 Apexis Crystals.

Raid/Dungeon Drop

Only one pet fits this category and that's the Corrupted Nest Guardian. He drops off Shadow-Lord Iskar in Hellfire Citadel, the new raid.

Darkmoon Faire

Three new pets have been added to the Darkmoon Faire, two from a new activity and one from a new achievement:

• A new activity was added: Fishing! There is a new fish that can be caught on the Darkmoon Island: the Darkmoon Daggermaw. There are a wide variety of fun little things to be obtained, but there are two battle pets for 50 Daggermaw each: Blorp and Ghostshell Crab
• A new achievement was added for the Whack-a-Gnoll game called That's Whack!. It requires you to obtain 45 points in a single play, and rewards you with the long awaited Hogs (aka Lil' Hogger)!

Miscellaneous

You may know World of Warcraft Community Manager Nethaera, who is a kind and thoughtful person. She has a pet now, Nethaera's Light, which can be obtained by finding her NPC in Dalaran and using /cheer at it.
