This week there was loads of information released, and you better believe I've summarized it all here for your enjoyment! See everything after the break.
Mythic Dungeon Changes
In Legion, Mythic dungeons will scale in difficulty and rewards, making them relevant throughout the expansion.
- Each level of difficulty increases the health and damage done by the enemies inside the dungeon by a certain percent.
- Level 1 (8%) and Level 2 (17%) have no affixes.
- Level 3 (26%) to Level 5 have one affix, selected from Tyrannical, Bolstering, Raging, and Teeming.
- Tyrannical - Boss enemies have 50% more health and inflict up to 30% more damage.
- Bolstering - When any non-boss enemy dies, its death cry empowers nearby allies, increasing their maximum health and damage by 20%.
- Raging - Non-boss enemies enrage at 30% health remaining, dealing 100% increased damage until defeated.
- Teeming - Additional non-boss enemies are present throughout the dungeon.
- Level 6 (59%), Level 7 (71%), and Level 8 (85%) and higher have two affixes, selecting from the previous four and adding Necrotic, Volcanic, Skittish, and Decay.
- Necrotic - All enemies' melee attacks apply a stacking blight that inflicts damage over time and reduces healing received.
- Volcanic - While in combat, enemies periodically cause gouts of flame to erupt beneath the feet of distant players.
- Skittish - Enemies pay far less attention to threat generated by tanks.
- Decay - All players lose 1% of their max health every 2 sec while the challenge is active.
- There is a 45 minute timer that you must beat to get to the next level, but not to get loot.
- When keystones upgrade, a new dungeon is chosen at random.
- These dungeons are only limited by keystone availability, not a weekly lockout.
Illidan Novel Released
On Tuesday, the new novel released. I'm currently in the process of reading it, but from what I've read so far, it seems like a good book. You can purchase your copy at the Blizzard Gear Store or from Amazon with Amazon being the cheapest option.
Order Hall System Clarifications
An overview that Wowhead did on the new Order Hall System sparked some fire in the community, as many though that Blizzard was just creating Garrisons 2.0. Well, this isn't the case. Ion "Watcher" Hazzikostas, Lead Game Designer for World of Warcraft, made a post on the forums trying to clarify some of the intents behind the system. See an image of the post below.
Character Trial
Some interesting strings were added in last week's build that point to players being able to boost a character to level 100 and try it for a limited time. Unfortunately, the process isn't available on the alpha quite yet, so more information will have to wait.
Recent Alpha Build
Wednesday, there was new alpha build deployed with some major changes.
- The Broken Shores introduction was added for Alliance. This is basically the pre-patch event for Legion. You can see a video of it here. (WARNING!! MAJOR SPOILERS!)
- Pepe has been found in Dalaran, wearing a new costume!
- The Adventure Guide has been updated to include a filterable list of all the legendaries being added in Legion.
- New Models include: Crystal Magni, Voidwalker and Void Lord, and the Observer.
- Warlock and Druid Class Halls have had some improvements.
- World Quests enabled (more details in the next section!)
